A bundle of Ashevillains came together to garden better. Some had skills with computers, and Greenthumbr is the result. Enjoy!

What can do you with Greenthumbr?

You can chat with others who are growing the same type of plants. You can post your artistic or scientific photos of plants. You can catalog your collection of plants.

The Shovelpunks are simply the folks who produce all of this.

June

June is a dreadlocked interaction designer who gardens organically and communes with bees.

Bob

Bob is learning how thwart the invasion of crab-grass and shade, his two arch-nemeses. While he’d love to “go native”, his yard is anchored by four invasive Norway Maples.

He’s getting into botany, IPM and is starting to think he needs a microscope as a gardening tool. He’s starting to assemble his compost tea rig.

Lance

Lance plants lots of tomatoes and basil and the occasional beet or iconographic carrot. He’s a software developer by trade, but 1 generation removed from rural farmers. He loves ferns and each of the 4 seasons equally.
