Thanks for sharing pictures of your balcony! I love it! When my vegetable seedlings get re-potted from the "flat" stage but aren't quite ready to be outside full time my house gets pretty crowded. Anything with a flat surface gets plants piled onto it and pushed toward the window. I wish I had some pictures of it.

One year I monopolized the kitchen table for a good 6 weeks. My husband starting referring to our kitchen table as the "green house." I can't wait to have a real green house. Or at least becoming more knowledgeable about cold frames might give us a little more room in our house during spring.

June- I wish I could put plants inside. I hardly have any surface that is close enough to the windows. All the plants I start insides just get so leggy. I start most of mine outside when I can so they come out dealing with the elements and I don't have to harden them off. There were some seeds that didn't sprout so I may have to try those inside first. Good luck on getting a green house or cold frame. They are so useful and you will be able to plant so much more. I know a greenhouse is on my want list when I actually have a yard.

Lance- Thanks. I like to try many different things. I won't let having a balcony keep me from only having a few plants. I'll cram in as much as I possibly can.

I think it looks charming! I'd love to sit on the balcony with a book and an apple, amongst all the lovely greenery. You've created quite an oasis for yourself.
