Hey Sarah! Yeah I've actually heard of that trick before (or some variation). For me I don't really care for feeling of anything under my fingernails so I've never tried it. But yes, thats a great idea!

Instead I typically keep my nails short (or use to). I got in the habit of doing that when I use to play stringed instruments.
