Jeepers Creepers

My verbena plants both jumped out of the ground while we were gone, and there are blossoms and buds everywhere. I am going to be so interested to see how far they "creep" between now and the fall.

What happens if they go too far? Do you just trim them back? And if so, what's the best way to do that?

Me
Yup, you can trim them back. For any plant that creeps you can cut back the new/extra growth. Just keep the center of the plant in tact.

For my oregano, which grows up as it grows out, I also like to trim off the top regularly too. If you wait too long, when you clip of the top you'll reveal stems with no leaves.
