I bought two of these at Cub Foods for $2 each. Thought it wasn't a bad gamble for a couple of shrubs.

Emerald Carousel Barberry - Berberis 'Tara'

"This shrub has showy clusters of yellow flowers in spring along its arching branches. These blooms produce bright red berries that persist into the winter. The dark green foliage turns an outstanding red-purple in fall. Ht 4-5' Wd 4-5' Exposure: full sun

We shall see, but so far they are doing well.
