    I picked up a regional gardening magazine (Carolina Gardener, or somesuch...) and there were bushels of advertisements of nurseries promoting their Lenten Rose festivals and celebrations.  Apparently, at least in the south, it's a Big Deal.<br/><br/>I imagine their bloom normally coincides with the period leading up to Easter, given the name.
