I'm interested in moving towards veganic gardening next season. It really bugs me that use fish emulsion on my garden, yet I wouldn't eat fish if you paid me. I'm hoping that with better planning and more knowledge I'll be able to anticipate my garden's needs better, and not have to rely on last minute quick fixes (like the fish emulsion).

Thanks for the links, those were really helpful!
Claire - Neat! I'll be excited to hear about your methods for not using animal products. Honestly, the first time I heard about a friend of a roommate going to the local seafood shop to get discarded fish heads for her garden, I was a little baffled. That just didn't make sense to me, even though its proven to be very effective.

I'm still pretty attached to using my rabbit poo, but could possibly talk Aaron into an alternative to fish emulsion.

Oh and one year I grew a cover crop of Triticale to use it as a "green manure." Thats something I'd like to do/try again.

Glad the links were helpful!
