I ended up making cherry syrup and it was great. Poured it over some chocolate ice cream (like substance) while it was still warm.

Oh and I think my cherries may have been a touch under ripe when I picked them. The ones currently on the tree are soft, slip right off the seed and are hardly tart.

I should go eat some more. :)
