I was really excited to discover some peaches today!
Aaron has yet to get a full real juicy peach of his tree. I think last year he may have gotten half of peach. I believe the other half was occupied by a bug. And if I'm not mistaken the peach you see pictured above is off of a white peach tree.
Aaron also spied a double peach! If these last until maturity it will be interesting to see how they turn out.
My plums are also doing wonderful:
I hope we get some! The problem we've had with the peaches, is that they'll get a diameter as a big as a quarter and then the birds will start nibbling on them. We're gonna to have to find ways to prevent that. And hopefully the birds aren't keen on plums.
I'm also very excited about my strawberry patch! I actually got these strawberries off of a freecycle (several years ago) and they taste sooo good.
If you look closely you can see that I planed some onions here as well.
Once I started to look at my strawberries more closely, I noticed some little buys. I've yet to determine what these are.
My first instinct is that they are not benifical bugs, but I'm going to look them up before I do away with them.
The same bug was on my big yarrow plant too.
Oh I should've snapped a shot of our blueberry bush too. They are doing really well despite the frost.

Are peaches the kind that needs another peach tree nearby for pollination in order to set fruit? Do you have two? Or a neighbor with a tree?
We have two peach trees. A regular one and a white one. The regular one hasn't been getting as much attention from me. I tend to gravitate toward the white one with more fruit.
