    Chia seems to be Salvia hispanica.  The pet just borrowed the name.  It's in the mint family.

    The other variety of Chia: Salvia columbariae<br/><br/>Has flower stems very similar to Lion's Ear (Leonitus leonurus?) <br/><br/>I'll have see what kind I have. I've never used it before so I don't really know what its like....yet
