Upon my return, one of the first things I did was take a walk around my yard. Actually when gardening season is in full swing my husband and I make it a daily morning ritual.
All sorts of things were budding or looking perky.
My plum tree can't wait for spring. I've yet to get plum off it ...even an immature one. If it doesn't flower too early, this might be my lucky year.
I planted garlic in four different spots and this area is growing the best by far. This garlic is planted around Aaron's peach tree. Garlic can be a good companion plant for raspberries and fruit trees...as they help prevent disease. They may also deter japanese bettles...but I'll have to double check on that.
Our Salad Burnet is as happy as ever. (This is the herb that tastes like cucumbers). Its hard to tell from this shot but I think someone has been nibbling on it.
We also have some chickweed near the Salad Burnet. Chickweed is super good for you. I'll add it to salad or sandwiches. I'll have to invite bob over to take a super close up with his extra cool lense. Chickweed is easy to identify by a thin line of fuzzy hairs that only run along one side of the stem.
There's more stuff popping up in our yard and I will be posting about it soon!
