All the big plant sales happen in early March around here, but the summer plants don't really start growing till the temperatures are above 90, so I've been stuck trying to keep peppers & tomatoes & eggplants alive and healthy while they are stuck in stasis.
Fortunately, the tomatoes are really picking it up, and the peppers might finally be showing signs of life after copious fish emulsion/molasses/seaweed applications. The eggplants might not make it. This makes my husband happy, but bums me out! I don't know what's wrong with them, but they are yellowing and generally looking unhappy.
I put my first round of Blue Lake bush beans in too early, and they sprouted and sat, patiently waiting for the temperatures to warm enough to signal more leaf production. After 3 weeks, they died. Round two seems to be working a little better...
This is my first year with my own personal garden, so it's a bit of a live-and-learn experience. I'm hoping that as the seasons progress, I'll be able to get something that looks a little more organic and a little less like photosynthetic soldiers on parade.

In terms of whats wrong with your eggplants, How long have they been outside? You bought them as seedlings? How long after buying them did you put them in the ground?
