    And timely enough, <a href="http://apnews.myway.com/article/20080610/D9177O280.html">this article</a> about salmonella afflicting our tomato supply.<br/><br/>I find it funny that they have to let us know that <br/><br/><i>"Cherry tomatoes, grape tomatoes, tomatoes sold with the vine still attached <b>and homegrown tomatoes</b> are likely not the source of the outbreak, federal officials said."</i><br/><br/>Are there really people out there afraid that their backyard tomatoes have somehow become infected with an intestinal bacteria?  I think it's obvious that the Salmonella is being picked up somewhere along the industrial food logistics chain.

    Heh - I think it's odd that the feds say the homegrown tomatoes are "likely" not the source.  I'd expect that probability to be near 100%.
