I had the cutest pollen covered bee on my pumpkins today. I hope he tells all his friends and they come pollinate my peppers!

I haven't pictured any bees, but have noticed that they are fond of my horehound which is flowering and were previously very fond of my cat mint.

We have lots of bees around our place. Most of them are the big fat bumble bees that seem to defy the laws of physics with their sheer bulk. And we have carpenter bees - unfortunately. I assume that all bees are beneficial - but is that the case? Do I really need honey bees to get pollination like I want?

I've noticed quite a few wasps around our lettuces lately. That's a good thing too, I suppose, eh? Don't they eat the bad bugs?
