Eighth Day is a small Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm on 55 acres in central Ohio.  Most of our farm is cow pasture, and all but 15 acres or so is on a pretty steep hill.  We have a 1/2-acre lot fenced off for our CSA plot.  We also have a 30 x 50 garden plot behind our house, a small raised-bed herb garden off the back porch, and some red raspberry bushes.

Our dairy calf, Ingrid, provides plenty of compost fodder, as do our 25 laying hens.  The chickens also do a lot of our post-harvest cleanup.

We are relatively inexperienced gardeners--four years and counting, but we have a passion for sustainable agriculture, and we are excited about creating a community of people who love and care for this beautiful family farm on which we live.

That, and I really love sugar snap peas.  Really.
