The Waiting is the Hardest Part

Unlike Lance, who grew magical arugula seeds, we have seen no sprouts yet from our herbs. I hope there will be something before we leave next Saturday for Spring Break - it will be easier for my husband to remember to water them....

One thing you might try is covering them with plastic wrap. It won't be the prettiest thing but it may hold in moisture and keep them warmer. Most seeds prefer to stay warm in this early stage.

I promise to post pictures of mine this weekend. You'll see where they are. Oh - and I did keep them under a plastic covering, though I've removed it in the last day to help avoid mold.

They aren't all great. They lettuce, arugula and cosmos are all doing well. I don't have a single spinach sprout though. :(

You guys! It worked! My thyme and basil have pushed some pretty little shoots up over the weekend. Thanks for reminding me about the plastic wrap. See, I'm not an instinctual gardener. I need step-by-step instructions...

Yay! Now don't forget to water. :)

I just watered and re-covered them, Mr. Smartypants. And 3 more seedlings have shown up since this morning. Whee!
