I received this plant from a good friend of mine. Mine seems to be doing well but isn't living up to its full potential.

The friend I received this plant from actually killed his, so I'm going to create a cutting for him. He recently reminded me about the time his plant flowered:

(thats not his plant but more or less what it looked like)

...while the flowers are visually impressive, they are unfortuantely very stinky.

 

In a recent email he also noted:

"All cacti are succulents, but all succulents are not cacti."

This plant is a succulent but not a cacti.
